Meaning: 
excessively talkative, especially on trivial matters.
Synonyms:

Talkative, loquacious, voluble, verbose, long-winded, chatty, gossipy, gossiping, babbling, blathering.

Antonyms: Taciturn, reticent, concise.

Word Origin: 

early 17th century: from Latin garrulus (from garrire ‘to chatter, prattle’) + -ous.
Use in sentence: 

adjective: A garrulous cab driver. noun: The character’s comic garrulity.
