NaNoWriMo 2015

Hello, guy! I’m here for a quick update on my writing (and also because I forgot to mention it before.)

Last month I participated in NaNoWriMo 2015 and successfully completed it with a just-barely-there 52K. 😀

I was planning to write the first draft for my second novel, Sinister Town, for this year’s NaNo, but unfortunately “life” happened (and also Diwali) and I was left to rush through the last 15 days of NaNo. Though it’s not a lot, but I still got the plotting done along with a few scenes (Yes, 52K is just the plotting!) But still I’m happy that at least I wrote these 52K words!

I’ll be drafting the FD of Sinister Town in December (even though my birthday is fast approaching) and January and once I’m a little free I’ll share about it in my writing updates.

I hope everything’s great at your end as well 🙂

Happy holidays!!!

Ciao ❤

  1. Congratulations! The important thing is not the amount of words you wrote, but the fact that you wrote them. I know many people who tell me they want to write a book or start a blog, but all they do is talk, they don’t put in the necessary time and effort like you did.

    • Thanks a lot, Robbin! And I agree, writing is what really matters. I’m actually planning to get my second novel done by March of next year so that I can get my agent to represent me for this book as well. Hope I’ll get there soon. Fingers crossed.

        • Nice… I’m sure you’re world is going to be amazing (as in the fantasy/fictional one…hehe) 🙂
My writing is not going bad because I’m not writing at all… lol… I’m just trying to work out a new schedule which will give me plenty of time to do other things along with writing (like crocheting and reading. Right when I was all sorted out to begin writing again, I developed this crazy obsession for crocheting and now it’s like it is the only thing I do. Hence, the changes in schedule.)
Have a great day, dear 🙂

          • It’s amazing how hard it can be to fit in everything we want to do. I’ve never managed to get the bang of crocheting. I can knit, but can’t seem to find the time. Writing’s my priority, and blogging, which is taking up more time than I ever thought it would. I enjoy it though.
            I’m sure you’ll find a way o make a balance.
Thank you. I think my world will come to something good. There’s a lot to think about. 🙂

    • Thanks a lot, dear! And I’m glad that you also tried. At the end, writing is what matters, not the word count, not the pages, or anything else. Even if you got a few words written, it’s still better than not writing anything 🙂

      • Yes oddly enough I can write a ton of great stuff but do better writing very little. Just blurting stuff out. It is fun like that and I try to do whatever I can. Thank you for your response:)
