About
Hello, there! Welcome to my About page. Here you will find a little bit more about me, this Website and my Blog. So let’s get going…
My name is Heena Rathore Pardeshi and I’m a fiction writer, EIC at a publishing house and a manuscript critic. I’m a book aficionado, music enthusiast and love blogging. I have three blogs – Author Blog, The Reading Bud and The Baking Bud.
I am an introvert by nature, a thinker, a neat freak and an animal lover. I love watching racy thrillers and slasher movies. I am a huge admirer of Stephen King, H.P. Lovecraft, Sidney Sheldon, Robert McCammon and Dean Koontz.
In spite of being a full-time editor, I work from home, the only condition I put forth when I was offered the position of EIC at the publishing I work for. After my teenage years, I developed mild autism and therefore, now, prefer staying at home, where I am most productive. This is a concept that very few people have an understanding of, hence I prefer not meeting new people, especially extroverts. I’ve come a long way in the process of overcoming chronic-depression, with the godly-help of my husband, and try to stay away from potentially stressful situations (for me that means interacting with as fewer people as possible in real life.) I also have bipolar disorder and it doesn’t help much when I’m surrounded by many people at one time.
On the personal front, I’m a wife to a very kind, chivalrous and thoughtful businessman, Vishal, who adores me and is the biggest source of my inspiration. I am also a cat-mommy to two very beautiful, capricious and the most adorable cats on the planet – Eva and Katie, who have taught me a lot of things, including how to hunt mosquitoes, flies and any other unfortunate creature that dares to enter our home.
PS: I love photography and if you want to check out tons and tons of amazing and somewhat goofy pictures of Eva, you can follow my Instagram here – @heenarathorep
About my debut novel:

How well do you really know your loved ones?
A girl struggling to cope with the murders of her mother and five-year-old brother.
A journalist chasing the ghost of a potential serial killer.
A thirteen-year-old girl who slaughtered her parents.
And a revenge-driven psychopath who is about to destroy everyone’s life.
After 9 years, a young writer is still coping with the brutal murders of her mother and five-year-old brother, as she moves into a house of horrors, to start a new life with her lover. Will friends and family be able to redeem Ally out of the impending doom in time? Will her infallible love become the key to the destruction of her already fragile world? Will madness prevail over love; true love over revenge?
Deceived is a gripping psychological thriller that mazes through the deepest, darkest emotions of human mind through the story of a vulnerable girl who treads in the mist of deception bred from a long unforgiven betrayal.

About the Blog:
I started this website, essentially a blog, in late 2014 with the intention of setting up a place where I could try writing about… stuff. I had no specific education in creative writing, so it was a big decision for to me start a writing blog as an ameture writer, but well, fear is something I’ve learned to conquer from a very young age, so I went ahead and set up this little blog. And I had no idea at that time that one day it’ll in fact turn into my author blog.
Now, keeping up with my old habit, I post my short writing pieces, writing updates, life updates and about anything and everything I do in my simple and very peaceful life.
About Manuscript Critique:
As someone who’s been reading fiction from last (20 years) from the age of 10 if not before, and due to my very opinionated nature, critiquing comes very inherently to me. Adtionally, being a writer and a fiction author myself, I’ve spent last quite a few years in learning the technicalities of fiction writing.
I critique fiction manuscripts (both long and short prose) and create a detailed critique report listing (in detail) the faults and chinks in them. These include all the structural and technical writing errors as well as plot holes and other inconsistencies.
About the Newsletter:
I send out quaterly Newsletters (they used to be monthly, but that just seemed too much, won’t you agree?) These Newsletters usually contain:
- Updates – if something interesting has happened
- Writing inspiration – to help you get ahead in your writing.
- Freebies – Exclusive writing-related stuff for all the subscribers
- Exclusive content: Excerpts, special reveals, know-it-firsts, sneak-peeks and other news related to my novels.
Where else you can find me:
- Fiction Writing With Author Heena – YouTube Podcast series
- The Reading Bud – My Book Blog
- RMFAO – Reading M Frigging A** Off – My Goodreads Book Club
- Goodreads
